The brainchild of sustainable architecture firm COOKFOX, the 17-story tower is the first building to have condos go up for sale in Pacific Park, a unique 15-building development set on 22 acres, eight of which are set aside for a park. Forest City Ratner’s residential complex—the highly anticipated Pacific Park—is now well on its way to becoming a reality. The commercial and residential development that includes 15 residential towers will be anchored by an expansive eight-acre park at its center. According to Forest City Ratner president and CEO MaryAnne Gilmartin, “The park will make this pocket of the borough more livable for residents of many different Brooklyn neighborhoods.” One of the first Prospect Heights condos within the development to be completed will be 550 Vanderbilt, a luxury tower designed by COOKFOX and due for completion toward the end of 2016.
